I love a good story. And if it has a good ending? chef's kiss.

That love of stories has found its way into my work. When a question is asked or a problem comes up, I naturally start thinking: what happens now? how do we get from where we are to where we want to be? These questions have taken me in a few different directions.

I started out in the life sciences, where I became interested in the stories hidden in data. Learning R and bioinformatics taught me that solving a problem often starts with figuring out what you need to learn.

These days, I build applications and automations at Fingal County Council, working across Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and other parts of the Microsoft ecosystem.

I like taking something that starts as a messy process, an idea or a problem and working backwards until there's something useful at the other end.
